This is my sister! She took everything on and showed no stress or emotion whilst doing it. Ran a successful business. Had two kids. A useless alcoholic husband. Needy staff. Migraines. Now at 63 she had rheumatoid arthritis and still she plugs away but lives alone and does what suits her. It’s both awe inspiring and scary just how strong and special women generally are. Bring on the matriarchy!

Really fascinating interview! And Adaptation is such an important play - if anyone is in Edinburgh in the coming days go see it. It sounds the alarm on a critical issue - As Gabor Mate's work shows, women who do too much are at high risk of getting unwell at 45 +, and the play highlights the need for women to safeguard themselves from autoimmune disease. And it bangs the drum for the corporate world to move the dial on gender equity in organisations. A must for women over 40 and for then men that care about them, plus for HR Managers, CEO and anyone running DEI programmes. Spread the word!

Wow! Quick turn around and I sooo enjoyed this conversation thank you Kate. Please forward to friends or colleagues in and around Edinburgh - we are on at #EdFringe till August 24th then at a corporate off-site somewhere near you - HR Directors permitting! Something new to move the dial on women’s health and #DEI.
